His native place is at Trivandrum. His schooling was done in the Govt:Model high school and college in Mar Ivanious College,Trivandrum.He enterd the film industry in the year 1987,1st film being "Sarvakalasala" directed by Sri.Venu Nagavally. He has a great family history in the field of Cinema. Father was a film actor who acted as hero in Tamil in films such as "BhakthaPrahlad" ,"Enmagan", "Thyagi","Madanakamaraja" etc..in the period 1938-45. Mother's younger brother late K.G.Menon was a known actor who did more than 15 films and the best being "Mathu Moopan" of Thakara. He has done around 100 films including 3 Tamil and 5 Hindi films. He also did almost 40 to 50 TV serials and telefilms. His best charecter is "chakrapani"of the super hit mega serial "Swami Ayyappan".
Nandu has performed and conducted stage shows in india and abroad including United States,Singapore and UAE. Nandu is also an associate director who has worked with several leading directors of Malayalam film industry.
