Jyothirmayi is an actress. She was at first a serial artist then got introduced to Indian films through the film savanna. She had acted in various films in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and English. She then paired up with great actors of Malayalam including Mohanlal and Mammootty. She also got offers opposite superstars Sathyaraj, Vijaykanth etc.
She was born in Kottayam and is the only child of her parents. She resides in Kochi at Kochukadavanthara. She studied at Mata Nagar School and after that at St. Mary's School. Joined Maharaja's College for pre-degree. She studied for diploma in Public Relations and Advertising from Kerala Press Academy. It was then that she began anchoring programmes on Citi channel and later to Kairali and Asianet. Her start was with ramp shows and modelling. Later, she went into serials and from there onto movies.
She is now anchoring Samagamam in Amrita TV. |
